What would you do in this situation?

I'm in love with a wonderful young man. He's smart, handsome, resourceful and he can be very thoughtful at times. I want to be close to him all the time. The problem is that our relationship got off to a rocky start. We were both attending the same school when we met. I have to admit that i was quite a mess and he was too but you know how there's this chemistry and you take a chance on someone. Well we did. Things haven't been easy. I wasn't forthcoming about some things. I think i may have blown it. I truly do believe that he still loves me though but than there are these times where he disappears for weeks at a time and then out of nowhere he contacts me without me initiating it. I think that he's still really angry with me but i'm confussed as to why he keeps reappearing. I don't know if i should try and make it work out or what. What would YOU do if you were me? Thanks for not being rude. This has been very difficulft for both of us.
