How to send and receive IMs on Yahoo Answers?

On my Yahoo Answers profile I opted to receive IMs, which I beleive is an instant form of chat. On the Answers profile I notice a circle blinking where it says Accepts IM or something of that nature. However nothing shows up on my screen and I cannot respond. How do I set up IM for Yahoo Answers? I have never used IM on Yahoo before. Any help plzz?
