I was in the snow and suede boots are ruined?

this happened a while ago. but i was in the snow and there must have been salt because my suede boots got white stains on it (theyre dark brown) so i put water on it and it dried now its off color AND its dry and hard. PLEASE HELP. i need a QUICK solution =(
