Ideas for a farewell speech for a teacher that is leaving?

Maybe a twist on the idea in Dead Poet's Society (an all-boys school), where Robin Williams stands on top of a desk "to see the world differently". You could start by saying "we girls would never do anything so dramatic around here but in our own way have been led to new visions from our wonderful teacher." You can return to the ideas of visuals (view through her office window? view in the quad? view of the cles being picked up safely every afternoon?) to illustrate bigger ideas of how she may have helped see you (and many other girls) through good times and bad. Now maybe it is time to see her off, to a future she knows is just a little brighter :)
