A question about SVU espisode Undercover?
Do you think the scene where Liv was ually aulted harkens back to the two part episode in an older cop TV show Hunter called " and Revenge"? Are they portraying women cops weak, helpless, and nuturing victims when a man strikes them in combat to remind women that they should not be police officers, especially dealing with violent criminals in combat or any other masculine job, and should have a big powerful man around to protect them at all times? Do the writers think it's realistic to portray a man as invincible and callous when they are attacked by even a man who is a lot stronger than the heroes which are Stabler and Fin in this case. Come on, men are not invincible in real life, and there are policewomen who are tall, but overall every bit as effective in the field of street battle as a man, the big exception is that they're normally not as bulky, and they are lighter. Yes, there is no arguement that men and women have a different build, but like I said, there are women in real life who can be heroes, and be physically and mentally strong warriors when need be. Do you know at least one cop show or movie where a woman was portrayed as strong, and not being radioactive, a goddess, 50 foot tall, or a 3rd degree black belt?
